We are looking for a strategic, business‑minded Category Management Lead who will drive category excellence, elevate team capabilities, and deliver measurable impact across our procurement portfolio.
In this senior leadership role, you will define and lead the strategic direction of an assigned category group. You will provide clear governance, empower category managers, and ensure consistent, high‑quality execution aligned with MOL Group’s procurement vision and business priorities.
Main responsibilities:
  • Lead, guide and prioritize the work of category managers to ensure cross‑functional alignment with category strategies and business objectives.
  • Build team capability: assess and develop category managers, identify skill gaps, and drive targeted development to increase category maturity.
  • Ensure consistent application of category management standards, governance frameworks and best practices across all categories.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of category strategies and structured category plans, ensuring strong stakeholder alignment.
  • Own portfolio‑level procurement planning (annual, mid‑ and long‑term) and ensure consolidated planning across categories.
  • Act as the group‑level owner of Supplier Relationship Management: supplier segmentation, KPI‑based evaluation, audits, and strategic partner development.
  • Drive performance delivery: achieve category KPIs (including savings), ensure supply continuity, and coordinate risk mitigation plans.
  • Serve as senior escalation point for supplier and claims topics; contribute to sourcing and evaluation committees and promote process improvements, including digitalization and simplification.
What you will bring:
  • University degree (MA/MSc or BA/BSc) in Economics, Engineering or Law.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or category management.
  • Extensive international IT equipment and IT services market knowledge, and solid understanding of legal and regulatory environments.
  • Background in economics, supply chain or engineering.
  • Fluent English (C1).
  • ERP user experience (SAP preferred) and strong MS Office skills, knowledge of e‑commerce tools.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑pressure environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with a proactive, engaging approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel; valid B‑category driving licence.
What we can offer:
  • Competitive salary complemented with an attractive compensation package
  • Cafeteria with several elements to choose from (e.g. SZÉP card, AYCM card, MOL LIMO usage, etc.)
  • Notebook and iPhone with limitless internet access
  • Life and health insurance, medical care package
  • Be part of a competent, diverse and highly motivated team
  • Professional trainings and career opportunities within MOL Group
  • Free health program and participating in company organized events
