Your background: experience particularly in managing Danube refinery optimization tasksPURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of the position is to contribute to and coordinate Downstream optimization processes and related economic analyses. The role supports business decision‑making by preparing recommendations for business units based on optimization results, crude economics and supply chain analyses. The position plays a key role in planning, margin management and tactical scheduling, while actively contributing to the continuous development of optimization models, tools and related data frameworks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Optimization, Planning & Economics
- Support and coordinate Downstream optimization processes and economic analyses with key focus on Danube Refinery optimization
- Prepare business recommendations based on optimization results and crude economics
- Contribute to Business Plan and Tactical Plan preparation and scenario selection
- Support margin management and tactical scheduling with economic insights
- Prepare crude evaluations, inventory and maintenance‑related economic analyses
Development, Data & Performance
- Ensure high‑quality input data for optimization and challenge constraints impacting profitability
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks, synergies and key value drivers
- Contribute to improvement of optimization models, tools (PIMS) and reporting solutions
- Support Group‑level performance monitoring and share insights with stakeholders
- Promote understanding of optimization and Downstream economics within MOL Group
REQUIREMENTS
Education, Experience & Knowledge
- BSc or MSc degree in Engineering, Economics or a relevant field
- 2-3 years of experience in scheduling, production and energy controlling, optimization, economics or related Downstream areas
- Strong understanding of Danube Refinery processes, with Group‑level overview of downstream technologies
- Sound knowledge of business processes, modelling and optimization logic
Skills, Languages & IT
- Team player with strong result orientation and business mindset
- Confident decision‑making and stakeholder focus
- Fluent English; local language knowledge is an advantage
- PIMS – skilled user
- MS Office – advanced level
- Power BI – skilled user
