🎯What You'll Be Doing:
As a Group DS Business Compliance Expert, you will support the Downstream Business Compliance function in strengthening governance, mitigating risks, and improving control effectiveness across the organization.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation of DSBC priorities, initiatives, and projects that enhance control over Downstream business activities.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of control frameworks, processes, and tools related to contracting and business operations.
- Performing financial analyses and reviews to support financial integrity, compliance with commercial policies, and ownership principles.
- Participating in compliance reviews, assessments, investigations, and special assignments across selected business areas.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, Procurement, and business teams to gather information, conduct analyses, and support decision-making.
- Identifying risks, anomalies, and opportunities for improving operational effectiveness and control environments.
- Monitoring regulatory developments, compliance trends, and industry best practices and incorporating relevant insights into daily work.
- Preparing high-quality analyses, reports, presentations, and management materials.
🔎What We're Looking For:
🎓Qualifications
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in financial analysis, audit, compliance, consulting, business analytics, or a related area.
💡Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data, identify anomalies, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Structured and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in an international environment.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
- High level of professional integrity, discretion, and accountability.
⭐Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the oil & gas, energy, trading, or industrial sectors.
- Background in compliance, internal controls, internal audit, risk management, or consulting.
- Knowledge of Slovak language.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of Power BI.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.
- Experience using AI/GPT-supported productivity tools is an advantage.
💻Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office knowledge.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
