Group Polyolefin Product Development
Scope:
As Group Polyolefin Product Development Manager, you will lead polyolefin-related research and development activities across MOL Group Downstream, ensuring alignment with short-, mid-, and long-term business and technology strategies. You will drive innovation, build a balanced development portfolio, and coordinate the development of new products and emerging technologies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and leading external R&D partners
Main responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Polyolefin Product Development organization, ensuring sustainable operations, customer focus, talent development and succession planning.
- Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of polyolefin-related product developments, technical consulting activities, laboratory services, technology assessments and cooperation projects across MOL Group.
- Drive alignment with internal stakeholders and business partners to maintain a value-driven product and technology portfolio supporting short-, medium- and long-term strategic objectives.
- Manage and continuously develop the project pipeline by identifying new innovation opportunities, evaluating commercial and technical conditions, and steering stage-gate decisions.
- Contribute to Downstream business and R&D strategy development, ensuring product and technology priorities are effectively represented.
- Ensure the availability of high-quality laboratory services and technical support to enable efficient development activities and business cooperation.
- Drive competence development across all sites, strengthen collaboration with production units, business stakeholders and key customers, and build a highly capable expert organization.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, research institutes and industry players while monitoring market trends, innovation directions and emerging R&D opportunities.
- Lead by example in HSE, compliance and corporate culture matters, ensuring safe and responsible operations.
Requirements:
- MSc degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industrial or R&D experience, ideally within the polyolefin industry.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in managing technical, innovation or product development teams.
- Strong understanding of polyolefin products, production technologies, R&D and innovation processes.
- Experience in project and change management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, combined with a strategic and customer-oriented mindset.
- Advanced English language skills; Hungarian or Slovak language knowledge is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Microsoft Project knowledge is an advantage.
- Category B driving licence
- International experience is an advantage
