Senior Recruitment Specialist - Vehicle Production Division

About BYD Auto Hungary
On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.
BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Senior Recruitment Specialist to our Auto Manufacturing Division.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end recruitment for assigned business areas (blue-collar and/or white-collar), from intake to offer.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to clarify hiring needs, define job requirements, and build recruitment plans.
  • Build and execute sourcing strategies across multiple channels: job boards, referrals, social media, events, talent pools, and direct search.
  • Manage agency/headhunter cooperation where needed: briefing, evaluation, performance tracking, and cost control.
  • Conduct structured interviews, coordinate interview panels, and ensure timely, high-quality hiring decisions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and reporting (e.g., CV flow, interview conversion, offer acceptance, time-to-fill).
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with internal policies and GDPR requirements.
  • Contribute to employer branding and talent pipeline initiatives (career fairs, university cooperation, reskilling/training-to-hire programs).
  • Support continuous process improvement in ATS workflows, templates, screening standards, and candidate communications.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on recruitment experience (in-house, agency, or mixed), ideally in manufacturing/automotive/industrial or high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to hire for multiple role types: operators/technicians and/or engineering, quality, logistics, corporate functions.
  • Strong sourcing capability (Boolean search, LinkedIn sourcing, talent mapping) and excellent screening/interviewing skills.
  • Stakeholder management: confident communication with senior leaders and ability to influence decisions.
  • Analytical mindset with solid reporting skills; advanced Excel is an advantage (pivot tables, basic data analysis).
  • Good understanding of recruitment compliance and GDPR-aware candidate data handling.
  • Fluent Hungarian and working English required; Chinese is a plus.
