BI Senior Business analyst

Purpose of the POSITION:
Contributes to IT development projects with performing analyst tasks to ensure the delivery of high quality IT solutions. Collects, reconciles, communicates and iterates business requirements in their domain, drives the preparation of feasibility studies, professional estimations, business cases, develops decision supporting materials. Manages Super User network and supports the business readiness and business acceptance processes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Professional deliverables:
  • Cooperates closely with Business side peers, Super Users, Process Architects, Developers, Operators, Application Architects and Business Analysts
  • Coordinates and owns the business requirement specifications of its own sub-domain, in-line with domain business and IT strategy. Assists the business system owner in defining developments and the associated acceptance criteria
  • Participates in Functional Specification preparation. Models the "as-is" and "to-be" business processes, the expected system interactions. Models the data requirements or work with the appropriate people to ensure that the data will support the new solution.
  • Defines the scope and schedule, coordinates, manages and supervises the testing activity (integration and user acceptance tests), in terms of composing and performing test scenarios, recording the results and defects, manages and supervises the corrections and accepts the results.
  • Manages, reviews and approves the training materials and provides quality assurance. Manages end-user trainings
  • Identifies change management impacts, creates plans for and carries out the change management activities. Manages handover to business and participates in modification of the relevant service catalogue item
  • Coordinates IT development processes, projects and change requests in their area.
  • Builds contemporary knowledge of solutions, industry benchmarks and trends in their area, proactively collects and communicates best practices to development teams and peers
  • Supports unit leader with domain specific functional and technical tasks.
Development support:
  • Works closely with Unit Leader and performs the tasks assigned as per agreed deadlines, quality and scope
  • Works closely with Team Leaders, with Application Architect and with Developers, Operators in his/her domain and with the Business Analysts of other domains to design high quality solutions and interfaces
  • Works closely with Super Users to maintain and to improve their system specific knowledge
  • Provides guidance to team members to guide their work and support their development
Main requirements:
  • Higher professional, Information Technology, Engineering or Economics degree
  • Minimum of 3+ years professional experience in similar area is mandatory
  • Good individual / interpersonal management skills with structural thinking and analysis approach
  • Communication skills – the ability to communicate well in English and Hungarian, verbally and in written form.
  • Understanding of systems and industry-specific business applications, Knowledge of relevant business related applications
