Data Solution Architect (GCP)

Responsibilities

• Advise on migration strategies for data applications and oversee the end-to-end migration process
• Design and review detailed technical architectures, ensuring robust and scalable implementations
• Lead cloud engineering initiatives, serving as the primary technical contact for architects and engineers
• Enable multi-cloud adoption, analyze total cost of ownership (TCO), and develop compelling business cases for cloud transformation
• Partner with business stakeholders to define solution requirements and identify key use cases
• Assess existing application and IT service portfolios, and develop comprehensive migration, transformation, and automation roadmaps
• Support solution implementation from requirements gathering through to successful go-live
• Contribute to the creation of technology blueprints, white papers, and solution architecture artifacts
• Collaborate closely with GCP architecture and delivery teams to ensure successful data application migrations and project delivery
• Provide best-practice guidelines for infrastructure and application migration, including hybrid cloud solutions in regulated environments
• Guide clients through technical and organizational challenges, designing robust cloud strategies aligned with business objectives
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and contribute thought leadership on GCP solutions

Requirements

• Strong technical background in GCP Data Engineering and modern cloud architectures
• Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to propose innovative, competitive technical solutions and secure client buy-in
• Proven experience delivering multi-cloud or GCP-based data solutions in an architect role
• Expertise in architecting, designing, and migrating workloads to Google Cloud Platform, preferably for Banking or Financial Services clients
• Google Cloud Professional Architect and/or Data Engineer certification
• Hands-on experience with GCP data products such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer
• Experience mentoring and collaborating with junior team members
• Strong analytical, consultative, and troubleshooting skills across diverse platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in business terms
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
