Group Fuel Market Strategy Manager
Purpose of the position:
The Group Fuel Market Strategy Manager is responsible for shaping and driving the mid- and long-term strategy of MOL Group’s fuel business across multiple countries. The role focuses on developing customer value propositions, coordinating country-level strategies, and ensuring strategic targets are met. The position holder also leads the development and operation of the Group Fuel reporting framework to monitor business performance and support data-driven decision-making.
Main responsibilities:
  • Develops strategic planning frameworks for fuel sales and supply in collaboration with Group Logistics and Value Chain Management.
  • Guides and aligns country-level fuel strategies and customer value propositions across subsidiaries.
  • Defines strategic KPIs and milestones, and monitors their progress.
  • Organizes regular business reviews for fuel-related subsidiaries to ensure alignment and performance.
  • Builds and maintains a regional market intelligence framework to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Creates and operates Group-level fuel data systems, continuously improving related processes.
  • Develops and manages the Group Fuels reporting framework, including daily/weekly/monthly KPIs and analytics.
  • Represents Group Fuels in relevant business and IT projects as assigned by the direct manager.
Education, skills, experience:
  • Education: University degree (preferably in business, economics, engineering or related field).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in Downstream operations (production, sales, logistics) is required. International and/or CEE regional experience is an advantage.
  • Professional competencies:
  • Strong understanding of fuel business fundamentals and commercial processes.
  • Knowledge of profitability drivers, financial impacts, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with optimization processes and supporting IT systems.
  • Solid grasp of data metrics, reporting logic, and database structures.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management and analytical capabilities.
  • Basic leadership and people management skills.
  • Languages: Advanced English (spoken and written).
  • IT skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, BI tools, and database platforms.
