We are looking for a motivated Lead Android Developer to join our team in Hungary.

Responsibilities

Implementation of features described in the requirement specifications and design documents
Design and implement sub-systems or whole solutions
Mentor less experienced team members
Conduct code reviews
Take part in the development of native mobile apps with Android
Work within a distributed global team of developers to complete proposed initiatives, contributing application architecture and implementation guidance
Quickly gain an understanding of our clients’ requirements, technology needs and solution architecture
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop appropriate solutions
Brainstorm with team members and prove ability to think on the fly

Requirements

7+ years of proven experience in end-to-end Android application development
Strong background in leading and mentoring mobile engineering teams
Expert knowledge of Kotlin (and Java where relevant), with a deep understanding of the Android SDK
Solid experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
Proficiency in modern engineering practices: code reviews, unit/instrumentation testing, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong grasp of software design patterns (especially MVVM)
Skilled in performance tuning, memory optimization, and profiling Android apps
Experience building and maintaining accessible applications that meet accessibility standards
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
