Your responsibilities
- Act as the central ESG interface for customer inquiries, audits, RFQs, and sustainability platforms (e.g. EcoVadis, NQC, CDP)
- Consolidate and harmonize BU inputs to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely responses to customer requests
- Maintain a central library of validated ESG statements, answers, and certificates for cross-BU use
- Coordinate customer-facing ESG documents, including sustainability self-assessments, code of conduct confirmations, and PCF responses
- Translate customer-specific ESG expectations into internal requirements and align implementation responsibilities with central and BU teams
- Support ESG-related elements of tender processes, business development opportunities, and sales enablement materials
- Monitor evolving customer sustainability expectations (e.g. Scope 3, due diligence, circularity) and derive implications for internal teams
- Collaborate with ESG domain experts (e.g. Supply Chain, Energy & Environment, PCF) to ensure technically sound and compliant responses
- Facilitate customer audits and workshops related to ESG performance and data transparency
- Align communication formats and processes with central functions (e.g. Communications, Legal, Sales, Compliance) to ensure consistency
- Consistency, accuracy, and completeness of ESG responses across all customer channels and touchpoints
- Central coordination of BU-overarching ESG documentation and platform data
- Enablement of sales and technical teams to respond appropriately to ESG-related customer needs
- Risk mitigation by ensuring only validated, audit-proof information is externally disclosed
- Monitoring of customer ESG trends and translation into internal readiness measures
Your profile
- 58 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in ESG-related roles (e.g. sustainability, environmental management, carbon accounting, process/project management, customer-facing ESG).
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Relevant certifications may boost credibility for technical and leadership responsibilities
- Experience in customer-facing ESG roles or direct involvement in customer audits, RFQs, or questionnaires
- Ability to consolidate input from multiple BUs into a unified ESG narrative
- Understanding of customer expectations and how ESG performance is positioned in industrial sales contexts
