WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Min. 1-2 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in creating , implementing and overseeing comms programmes either in Tesco or externally
- Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
- Upper-intermediate level of english (B2)
- A confident communicator and presenter
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills, attention to detail
- Organizational and project management skills
- Outstanding written and verbal comms skills
WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all local and group-led people communications. Managing the communications calendar, ensuring strategic messaging, and collaborating with various teams to deliver effective communication plans. Evolving the governance activity for the People function and provides governance support to the CE People Leadership team, and plans stakeholder engagement activities.
- Ownership of the local People Communications calendar, including BAU and change activity
- Using insight-driven feedback from previous communication launches across the Group and incorporating it into future local deployments
- For market-led project-led work, partnering the Change Manager to ensure the communications plan is fit for purpose for the deployment approach, communications are drafted and signed off to required timelines, responsible for articulating key narratives and defining messaging
- For market-led work, working with relevant teams such as Change, third-party suppliers, and creative agencies for visual communications
- Partnering of PoEs, project and change, People Services, and the local communications team to agree on the content of the market's annual people communications priorities and calendar
- For Group-led projects and Gold Campaigns, using centrally created comms strategy and toolkit to localize & deploy communications locally
- Ensuring translation of centrally created comms materials where appropriate
- Deployment of communications within markets using local channels (N&V, Channels comms, or other comms channels).
- Identification of where additional in-market activity may be needed to fulfill the objectives of the Gold Comms Priorities, and working alongside the Group Comms Manager to achieve this
- Champions and evolves the governance activity for the People function and provides governance support to the People Leadership team
- Planning and delivering stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships and ensuring that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met
- Managing a simple & streamlined process for collecting all CE demand, forming a consolidated view in one place (e.g., securing inputs into Group tracking tools, owning comms calendar, etc.), and reporting on the status of the CE People plan to relevant governance forums
