Trading Operator
who will manage operational and administrative execution of natural gas and power business deals representing MOL's interest in all aspects occurring during sales/purchase process and participate in covering MOL Group's asset and energy market demand, with focus on natural gas and power, to maximize captured margin in cooperation with the related assets and risk management services in line with the internal regulations
The main responsibilities:
- Contributing to developing and implementing the Group’s short- and long-term natural gas and power supply and trading strategies
- Preparing analyses and decision-support materials for short- and long-term deals, verifying deals in trading systems, and ensuring compliance with the "4-eye principle"
- Handling incoming and outgoing KYC processes and regulatory reporting (e.g., MEKH, REMIT, EMIR) for gas and power markets
- Preparing, reviewing, and executing standardized trading contracts after obtaining internal clearances (Legal, Finance, Credit, Treasury)
- Managing deal registration in compliance with LDA (e-LDA) and overseeing logistics, scheduling, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Executing and monitoring credit instruments (LC, BG, PCG, PU), liaising with treasury/admin teams for settlements and invoicing
- Supporting daily operational and financial reporting, business and liquidity planning, and ensuring proper reconciliation, invoicing, and monthly settlements (SAP, NAVISION)
- Monitoring regulatory and market changes, proposing and implementing adjustments, and performing compliance tasks including conducting audits and coordinating cross-department activities
Requirements:
- University degree in economics or engineering
- 3+ years trading operator or business administration experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding physical natural gas and power markets, logistics and infrastructure
- Deep understanding of legal, financial, fiscal and operational aspects of physical deals done by traders
- General review on refinery economics, market structure, price risk and its management commercial approach in dealing with operations, entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience in handling contracts, credit arrangements, insurance, trade settlements and claims
- Precise and perfectionist approach
- Hungarian and fluent English knowledge
- Knowledge of MS Office, Internet, SAP or NAVISION, ETRM systems
