Senior Cost Engineer expert
who will be responsible for accomplishing cost controlling and cost estimating tasks that required for project implementation, improving their methodology, creating and handling necessary databases.
The main responsibilities:
- Harmonising different analytical and expenditure estimating methods
- Managing cost engineering database structures and data setup, and developing various cost analytical and controlling tools
- Continuously improving cost engineering activities by incorporating and monitoring industry best practices
- Defining required investment resources for individual projects based on technical content and aligning them with specification rates
- Controlling budget estimations submitted by contractors and negotiating necessary modifications
- Creating reports on tasks and implementation results in the cost engineering field
- Handling any emerging miscellaneous tasks using professional best practices
- Participating in 25+ projects
Requirements:
- University degree
- 10+ years relevant and similar level of experience in project estimation and cost control (advantage if in energy, oil and gas industry)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player but able to work independently, good networking skills inside and outside of the organisation and in the oil and gas industry
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, precise personality and mathematical viewpoint
- Good project background
- Highly qualified background in every key areas of the cost estimating, knowledge of professional best practices
- Mature, proactive, inventive, good initiating mindset
- Fluent English and Hungarian knowledge
- MS Office, MS Project, knowledge of cost estimating and cost controlling software
