Solution architect

**Solution architect
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure alignment of technical solutions (applications, infrastructure, technology) with enterprise architecture principles, strategy, and governance.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, analysis, and documentation of IT solutions to meet business needs and comply with industry standards and architectural decisions.
  • Define and validate technical and business requirements for vendors.
  • Provide technical leadership in complex projects, especially in regulated pharmaceutical environments, ensuring architecture compliance and governance.
  • Supervise project execution and operational handover, ensuring alignment with business transformation goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and subsidiaries, with a focus on IT delivery areas.
  • Promote innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance architectural capabilities.
  • Increase architectural maturity through best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture plans, business processes, requirements, and standards,
  • including architecture inventories (modules, interfaces, technologies).
  • Support application development and selection based on business needs.
  • Manage the application portfolio, including decommissioning proposals.
  • Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, including defining expected outcomes and evaluation criteria.
  • Conduct market research to identify relevant solutions.
  • Integrate systems and applications to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop detailed guidelines for assigned solutions (applications, infrastructure, technology).
  • Identify and manage risks in IT projects.
  • Translate business needs into requirements, prototypes, and solution concepts.
  • Foster collaboration between business and IT stakeholders.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in solution architecture or related roles.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Competencies:
    - Strategic thinking and ability to align IT with business strategy.
    - Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and IT.
    - Problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
    - Deep technical expertise in IT infrastructure and/or systems.
    - Project management experience, especially in PoC and IT development.
    - Analytical skills for business process analysis and optimization.
  • Specialized Knowledge (depending on assigned solutions):
    - Modeling languages (Archimate, UML, ERD, SysML)
    - Integration technologies
    - ERP systems, workflow management
    - Industrial control systems, industrial PCs
    - Infrastructure and operational technologies
    - Cloud technologies (preferably with Microsoft certifications)
