Logistics Specialist Customs Operations

BYD Europe BV located in Schiedam, Netherlands is the marketing and sales HQ of BYD Co., Ltd based in Shenzhen, China. BYD Europe BV offers a full line of BYD electric vehicles, including all-electric cars, all-electric buses, and all-electric forklift trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end customs clearance for commercial vehicles, passenger cars, ATA cars, and non-EU vehicles; coordinate brokers, approve invoices, and update clearance status.
  • Maintain and update inbound logistics data, trade modes, and stock lists in company databases.
  • Manage ATA cars and carnets, ensuring timely returns, accurate tracking, and outsourced logistics support.
  • Coordinate year-end stock checks and audits, resolve discrepancies, and support audit reporting.
  • Support commercial vehicle operations, including customs, transportation, invoicing, claims, deliveries, and LSP outsourcing.
  • Handle CGL and STP insurance processes, including contract finalization, premium calculations, and policy initiation.
  • Perform other administrative and operational tasks assigned by leadership (e.g., document signatures, OA system support).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
  • Proven experience in customs clearance, logistics operations, and/or stock auditing.
  • Familiarity with ATA carnets, vehicle logistics, and EU/non-EU import/export procedures.
  • Strong data management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics/ERP systems.
