We are looking for a senior Project Manager to take full responsibility for all electrical and electronic (E/E) aspects of a major global steering systems project within the automotive area. This role ensures the successful delivery of E/E systems by managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards across the entire project lifecycle. Responsibilities:

Main customer contact for all electrical/electronic aspects within the project
Ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality targets
Take ownership of procurement, production launch, and serve as the key interface for customer communication from a project perspective
Drive project objectives for all E/E subcomponents
Plan milestones and resources, track progress, and report status
Coordinate subsystems: electric motor, sensor, ECU, cables, and software
Manage interface design and alignment across E/E components
Analyze customer specifications and translate into internal requirements
Approve specifications and designs for E/E components
Implement risk management for E/E scopes
Oversee configuration and version management
Coordinate design changes and lead technical decisions

Your profile

University degree in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics
Proven experience in project management and technical leadership in complex electromechanical systems
7+ years of experience in complex automotive project management
Ability to manage and deliver on highly demanding technical requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Expertise in problem-solving methodologies: DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, etc.
Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently
Fluency in English is essential, German is an advantage
