Group Sales Expert
Purpose of the position:
Professional support of group level sales channel, quality and margin management and coordination of Chemicals related value chain. Expert contribution in strategic, planning, pricing, performance monitoring, evaluation and project tasks. Main responsibility is to assess and set the proper price - volume trade-off for the assigned market and coordinate the sales work accordingly. Keep the focus on supply / demand trend and utilize the changes by prompt reactions. Screen and follow up sales opportunities.
Main responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Oversees sales activities at group level, negotiates with key partners, manages key accounts, explores new business opportunities, and tracks performance (contracts, volumes, margins, receivables).
- Strategy Implementation: Aligns with business strategy, identifies and develops opportunities, and turns prospects into business.
- Market Insight: Assesses market needs, defines commercial approach, and prepares regular reports.
- Team Coordination: Provides technical guidance to sales teams and proposes area-specific sales plans.
- Issue Management: Handles claims and complaints, investigates problems, proposes solutions, and maintains internal cooperation.
- Compliance: Ensures adherence to laws, regulations, corporate policies, and quality standards.
- Process Development: Contributes to creating guidelines, processes, and business projects.
- Planning & Analysis: Prepares and validates business, forecast, and tactical plans; delivers optimization and analysis at group level.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracks product line performance across the value chain (feedstock to sales).
- Forecasting & Reporting: Creates forecasts and analyses for Chemicals unit performance, and suggests improvements.
- Business Optimization: Monitors business area performance, drives improvements, and ensures smooth cross-functional communication.
Education, skills, experience:
- BSc/MSc degree in Economics/Business/Chemist or other relevant education.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience.
- Complex thinking, project management approach, stakeholder management, problem solving and result orientated attitude, negotiations and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
