SAP solution architect

Main responsibilities:
  • Understanding business needs and processes to recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
  • Designing and architecting SAP systems that align with business goals and requirements.
  • Supervises vendors and external partners to ensure the realization of solution within agreed standards and conceptual designs.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs by delivering high quality professional solutions
  • Supports colleagues to ensure they are developed to attain their professional potential and act as a role model for employee development in sharing best practice knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Leading the technical implementation of SAP solutions
  • Providing guidance and support to technical teams during implementation and integration.
  • Optimizing and enhancing existing SAP systems to improve performance and functionality.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and security protocols in SAP solutions.
  • Conducting regular assessments and reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Staying current with SAP technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and providing guidance on SAP architecture and best practices
  • Define architecture artifacts within BRD/IPP (including SAMU updates, data entity inventories, etc.). (BRD: Business Requirements Document; IPP: Individual Project Proposal; SAMU: Application and Infrastructure Catalogue)
Main requirements:
  • University/College degree in Information Technology / Economics / Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architecture-related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution architecture and project implementation.
  • Exposure to various architecture subtypes such as Application, Data, Infrastructure, Network, Integration, or Security.
  • Familiarity with managing architecture within project documentation processes like BRD/IPP.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, frameworks, methodologies and best practices such as TOGAF, C4, DAMA, ITIL, APQC, UML, and others.
  • Proven track record in providing and implementing detailed architecture designs within project scopes.
  • Ability to effectively align technology solutions within the agreed-upon standards and conceptual designs.
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, applications, system design, and integration.
  • Experience in making architecture recommendations and decisions within the context of agreed standards.
  • Proficiency in producing comprehensive detailed architecture designs and artifacts aligned with project scopes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
  • User-level knowledge of ERP systems and domain-specific applications
  • Experience with Architecture and Process Modelling and Management tools such as: Enterprise Architect, ArchiMate, Visio, SAMU, SAP Solution Manager, etc.
