Chemicals Business Intelligence Analyst
Job Location: Tiszaújváros
About the role:
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of Chemicals Business Intelligence activities. Elaborates proposals for product line strategies and works out conceptual business opportunities in line with MOL Group Chemicals strategy. Generates ideas related to DS Chemicals business and elaborates market rationale for prioritization. Conducts market research activities and business analysis of projects in the early phases.
  • Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to the development of product line strategies by managing projects aimed at identifying conceptual business opportunities aligned with Mol Group Chemicals strategic goals.
  • Coordinate business analysis activities for strategic projects in early development phases (before Gate 2), including secondary market research, competitor benchmarking, and due diligence support.
  • Collect and analyze data on consumers, competitors, and application segments to extract insights and trends that support data-driven business decisions.
  • Generate and prioritize new business opportunities for the Chemicals business, providing market rationale for each initiative.
  • Perform short-, mid-, and long-term market and business intelligence tasks; continuously monitor industry and legislative trends, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Support the structuring of business cases and clarify their interdependencies with other business development initiatives.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal and internal policies, particularly the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Conflict of Interest rules, HSE, and Data Protection regulations.
Our expectations:
  • BSc/MSc degree in economics/business management/engineering,
  • 5+ years relevant professional experience,
  • Solid knowledge of the downstream/Chemicals processes and value chain, strategic orientation,
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills,
  • Strong strategic management and problem-solving capabilities, basic leadership skills,
  • Fluency in English languages,
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
