Tesco operates in Hungary since 1995 and its head office is located in Budaörs. The company has built the country's biggest retail chain by running more than 200 stores all over Hungary.
More than 800 colleagues work together in our head office in Budaörs. We cooperate in 3 countries structure with the Czech and Slovakian teams on a daily basis to offer the best to our customers.

  • Setting group wide strategies and gaining engagement, buy-in and sign off for these
  • Capability building, design and delivery including curating learning resources for audiences across a Global scale
  • Strong learning design across a variety of formats and levels - virtual, blended, online
  • Proven understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities
  • Demonstrable knowledge of learning and development interventions and providers
  • Strong network of learning specialists to draw on external best practice
  • Senior stakeholder management, in particular building trusted relationships with a diverse group of international stakeholders
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of latest learning trends and how people learn
  • Ability to think beyond the here and now - connecting learning to the wider business context.
WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT
You will partner senior stakeholders to develop the strategic direction for the market capability plan, (what and how) by completing learning needs analysis to identify current and future capability needs across the group, feeding this into an overarching Group Tesco Capability strategy. Sitting within the Capability PoE/Market, you'll work closely with the other capability partners to ensure a standardised and consistent approach is applied to all learner audiences. You'll work closely with the Capability Design Leads and TBS to shape, influence and own capability for your business area(s). You will be visible, responsive, challenging and effective at building relationships and influencing across the group. You'll be an L&D expert and take an 'outside-in' approach, always striving to maintain industry expertise.
  • You own and lead the market capability strategy, including Learning Tech experience and governance, ensuring you remove duplication and drive learner consistency.
  • You partner with senior stakeholders to develop and influence strategic direction for market learning for both the what and the how.
  • You lead robust, data-led learning needs analysis to develop and deliver prioritized market-focused capability plans, ensuring the right skills and behaviors to deliver both market and central strategic priorities.
  • You work collaboratively with other Capability Partners to ensure a rounded view of market needs within functional plans and vice versa. You drive value through business-wide learning offerings to ensure a consistent approach is taken across all learning products and platforms.
  • You partner with people business partners, talent partners, and POE teams to ensure end-to-end alignment to the overall colleague experience.
  • You champion the core learning offer for colleagues, managers, and leaders, influencing the business to adopt the core offer and ensure a seamless learning experience for all colleagues within their markets.
  • You own any safe and legal training specific to your market and are responsible for working with TBS to create content to keep the business compliant.
  • You live 20/80, ensuring your markets follow all governance processes and ruthlessly prioritize work in line with the group capability's plans and priorities. You take a cost-conscious approach to all budgetary decisions, sharing accountability on budget decisions and ensuring you follow group capability budgeting priorities within the work you deliver in functions.
  • You contribute to establishing a world-class Group PoE within capability, continuously striving to bring outside-in thinking and are passionate about ensuring the learner experience is at the heart of what you do.
  • You follow the procurement policy to source external strategic partners that align with and support our group capability plan and priorities.
  • You champion and role model our Win Together behaviors, contributing to a cultural change program across the Tesco group and actively driving a culture of learning.
