A strong analytical capability led by the Group Data Analytics team within Digital Factory is a crucial element of the successful digital transformation.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior BI Developer to join Digital Factory. The new team member will play a pivotal role in shaping our business intelligence strategy and establishing our standards. The Senior BI Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced BI solutions that step up the business impact of our BI services. Leveraging advanced technical expertise in Power BI, DAX, and SQL, the role focuses on delivering solutions that provide a competitive edge through innovative approaches. Leadership responsibilities include fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across all markets and businesses we serve. The role also involves mentoring junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Main responsibilities
  • Translate business needs into effective analyses and actionable BI solutions. Autonomously define and align KPI strategies with business leadership and implement effective data storytelling BI solutions.
  • Establish BI development standards (coding, testing, visualization, production-readiness). Serve as the technical expert on data warehouse setup and backend changes.
  • Guide long-term BI strategy, exploring GenAI /GenBI for advanced analytics and AI-driven insights. Lead enterprise-wide BI pilots and self-service BI initiatives.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization. Lead data literacy training programs, including for senior management. Promote data democratization and self-service BI.
  • Independently manage BI solutions using advanced DAX, SQL, and ETL processes. Design interactive, user-friendly dashboards for actionable insights.
  • Guide business requestors toward fit-for-purpose solutions. Identify and apply effective stakeholder management techniques to Influence group-level and country-level business teams across all clients, businesses and markets we serve, to effectively use data and insights in their decision making.
  • Facilitate testing, training, and effective data-driven decision-making across teams and markets.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop impactful BI solutions. Ensure data accuracy and reliability through rigorous validation.
  • As a senior member of the team, conduct thorough data analysis and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of BI outputs.
  • Train and mentor junior BI developers, enhancing technical skills and professional growth.
  • Stay updated on BI trends, implementing innovative technologies. Contribute to data warehouse and BI architecture improvements.
About your experience and skills
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is a plus)
  • Specialization in Business / Computer Science / Engineering
  • Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data visualization and analysis in Power BI
  • Professional Competencies
  • Advanced data visualization expertise.
  • Knowledge and application of fundamental statistical analysis concepts and methods.
  • Advanced in Power BI, DAX and Power Query (M Query).
  • At least intermediate in SQL or Python.
  • Knowledge of database systems & data visualization tools (e.g., MS SQL, Azure, MS Power BI)
  • Proven experience in developing complex data models and ETL processes.
  • Experience with other data visualization libraries (e.g. JS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure / Databricks is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer services, consumer products or retail domain is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Understanding machine learning and other data science methods is a plus.
  • Professional usage of Microsoft Office.

Main Recruitment Steps
  • Initial call: You will be contacted by MOL Recruitment via phone for a short chat.
  • Short test: You will receive a link to a short test to check your basic analytical skills.
  • Interview: You can expect two or a maximum of three interview rounds, where you can meet your direct manager, some experts from the team, ask your questions and present your skills and career path. We always make sure you receive timely feedback after each round.
