We are looking for our new
Senior Mechanical Discipline Engineer
(for strategic and investment projects)
colleague, who will
lead the mechanical discipline for strategic capital projects, developing appropriate mechanical engineering strategies in alignment with MOL’s strategic vision and project-specific objectives, with a focus on static equipment such as pressure vessels, piping, boilers, and valves.

Main responsibilities:
Develop and implement mechanical engineering strategies for projects, ensuring alignment with MOL’s strategic vision and project objectives.
Manage project staffing, secure necessary resources, and establish procedures for MOL mechanical staff in harmony with contractors’ approved project management systems.
Oversee contractors' execution strategies, compliance with codes and standards, and ensure project specifications and safety requirements are met on time.
Control all engineering, construction, and authority-related activities to ensure alignment with MOL standards, project strategies, and schedules.
Establish, develop, and continuously improve MOL Group’s mechanical engineering standards while mentoring and coaching subordinates.
Stay up to date with international trends, foster relationships within the global mechanical engineering community, and provide strategic recommendations for MOL’s mechanical discipline.
Requirements:
University degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in refining and petrochemical projects within an international environment
Strong technical and analytical skills, with expertise in mechanical and industrial project engineering
Proficiency in project management, including planning, implementation, and stakeholder coordination
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage planning and implementation teams effectively
Advanced English knowledge; additional languages are an advantage
Proficient user of MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
